Gigabit Network
Gigabit network?
running Server2003 with 2 Gigabit network cards and a Linksys Gigabit switch, along with six work stations card Netgear GA311 Gigabit. The question is difficult to establish whether the cards to send large packets through the network to really improve the speed or become undepenable? Any other suggetions? By the time does not run Cat5e through the office until addon up next month and then run cat6 everwhere. I installed all the cards workstations in the past week and a remarkable improvement is seen especially when opening large files shared. There are two gigabit cards on the server and are using one, what is the purpose of a second card
The real question is what kind of backbone Do you, you know what your state has syatems but nothing about the time that has wireless fiber, or what kind of trunk that is. Granted you can configure the card send more packets, but if you cannot log handle, then what's the point.
